Uno Stato di Cose
“A State of Things” is a group of facts concerning the lives of Immigrants in Italy, only partly acquired by people’s awareness and, at the same time, a “legally constituted state” (Italy) which reduces Immigrants to a ‘things’. ‘Hidden’ workers are portrayed as examples of thousands of such people living there; the plight of Immigrants is seen as they are shut in CIE (Centre of Identification and Deportation). Nevertheless, their stories dangerously meet the current condition of many Italian citizens who are overwhelmed by crisis. The suffering is widespread and silent, silence is still loud.
